Founded to Perpetuate a Future For the Farris Theatre
WHY A FOUNDATION ?
The Farris Foundation has been created as a separate entity to promote the purposes of Friends of The Farris. These Purposes include:
• Ensuring the physical welfare and perpetuity of the Farris Theatre building, its owned properties and ongoing operations.
• Bringing arts and otherwise beneficial activities to the stage of the Farris Theatre.
• Designing and developing new services which are otherwise not supported by the operation of the Farris Theatre.
• Educating patrons served by the Farris theatre community about the benefits of the arts and arts related activity.
• Sharing our knowledge and collaborating with other historic community centers through training and developmental activities.

Your gift to the Foundation may include cash donations, bequests in your will, trusts, annuities, real estate, insurance or other investments. You may choose to make a contribution in memory of a loved one or as an honorary gift. (501C3 Tax Deductible)

The Farris Foundation, Inc., was incorporated in December, 2000. It was founded to perpetuate a future for the historic Farris Theatre so that it will remain operational for many generations to come. It is a not-for-profit, 501C3 Corp. and donations are deductible at both the state and federal level.
The Friends of the Farris, who now own and operate the theatre, believe it is an asset that belongs to the entire community and that it needs an endowment to ensure that it remains a venue for the arts in Richmond & Ray County. A donation to the Foundation will be an investment in the Farris Theatre for future generations.
